Kia EV3 Car Subscription

The monthly payment for a Kia car subscription is generally treated as a business expense business expense and reduces the taxable profit. Different rules apply to the personal use of a Kia company car, depending on the type of powertrain.

The Kia EV3, EV6, and EV9 are all-electric vehicles, and when used as private company cars, they are taxed as a monetary benefit at a rate of just 0.25 percent of the gross list price per month. This applies provided that the gross list price does not exceed 100,000 euros. This limit was raised from 70,000 euros to 100,000 euros effective July 1, 2025 (Section 6(1)(4) of the German Income Tax Act). If the gross list price exceeds 100,000 euros, the 0.5 percent rule applies.

The 1% rule applies to the Kia Picanto with a combustion engine. In addition, fully electric vehicles such as the EV3, EV6, and EV9 are exempt from vehicle tax until December 31, 2030, provided the vehicle was first registered by December 31, 2025.
