Commercial vehicles are motor vehicles designed primarily for the transport of people, tools, goods, or materials in a commercial setting. Light commercial vehicles in Class N1 include small delivery vans, panel vans, flatbed trucks, vans, and pickup trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating of up to 3.5 metric tons. They may be driven with a Class B driver’s license and, depending on their configuration, can accommodate up to nine passengers or carry large cargo volumes.

Panel vans, pick-ups, vans, small vans, they all belong to the light commercial vehicles of category N1 up to 3.5 tons total weight, which may be driven with a category B driving license. Registration, documents and approval
We want to make the commercial vehicle subscription as convenient as possible for you. Nevertheless, you must fulfill certain conditions in order to conclude the rental contract:

- Valid driver’s license
- Good credit rating
You cannot get a car subscription for commercial vehicles from us without a credit check, as this is important for the credit check. What documents do we need from you?
- Corporations (GmbH, AG, KG, OHG): Extract from the commercial register or business registration
- Partnerships (sole proprietor, GbR, UG): Business registration and Schufa form (from us) as well as the identity card of the managing director

Maintenance and repairs
Quality is very important to us when it comes to commercial vehicle subscriptions. That’s why we are happy to take care of the regular maintenance and MOT/ MOT of your subscription vehicle. And even if something breaks down, we are there for you quickly and easily. And this is how it works:

Minimum terms and termination options
Car subscription plans for commercial vehicles can often be canceled on a monthly basis once the contract term has ended. With MHC Mobility, you can even cancel on a daily basis, with billing calculated to the exact day. Unless you cancel, the contract is automatically renewed on the same terms.
After the minimum term of one month (FlexiRent) has ended, the contract can be terminated on a daily basis without any termination fee. In the event of early termination within the first month or of a SelectRent contract before its expiration, a termination fee equal to the outstanding installments may apply.

Monthly fees, ancillary costs and inclusive services
One price, everything included! The FlexiRent commercial vehicle subscription plan includes insurance, taxes, and many additional benefits and services. To keep our offer as flexible as possible, you can add certain services for an additional fee if you wish, such as:

We also charge a fee for processing fine notices.
Our SelectRent model offers you complete freedom to decide which service modules you would like to book. This means you can keep the monthly installment low if you wish.
Funding opportunities and tax benefits
The current subsidy options and tax benefits apply to commercial vehicles under a subscription plan: The payments for commercial vehicle subscriptions are generally classified as business expenses are tax-deductible and reduce taxable income. Input tax credits are available if the goods are used for business purposes. Other applicable benefits:
- 1-Percent Rule for Company Cars with Internal Combustion Engines: For personal use of a company car, 1 percent of the gross list price is subject to tax.
- 0.25 Percent Rule for Fully Electric Commercial Vehicles: For private use, only 0.25 percent of the gross list price applies, provided the gross list price does not exceed 100,000 euros. This limit was raised from 70,000 euros to 100,000 euros effective July 1, 2025 (Section 6(1)(4) of the Income Tax Act (EStG)). For plug-in hybrids, the 0.5 percent rule applies.
- Vehicle Tax Exemption for Purely Electric Vehicles: Purely electric vehicles are exempt from vehicle tax for ten years from the date of initial registration, but no later than December 31, 2035, provided that initial registration takes place by December 31, 2030 (Section 3d of the Motor Vehicle Tax Act [KraftStG], extended by the Eighth Act Amending the Motor Vehicle Tax Act of December 2025). With MHC Mobility’s commercial vehicle subscription, the vehicle tax is already included in the monthly payment.
- GHG Allowance: The emissions saved by electric vehicles can be monetized through the sale of greenhouse gas reduction allowances.
- Regional funding programs subsidize the conversion of the vehicle fleet to climate-friendly electromobility and the installation of charging points.

Yes. MHC Mobility offers fully electric commercial vehicles on a subscription basis. When used for personal purposes as well, electric commercial vehicles qualify for the 0.25 percent tax rate up to a gross list price of 100,000 euros and are exempt from vehicle tax through December 31, 2035, provided they are first registered by December 31, 2030. The monthly payment for a commercial vehicle subscription depends on the selected model, the term, the agreed-upon mileage, and the subscription plan. The starting price is around 370 euros net per month. Because maintenance, insurance, vehicle tax, and services are already included in the payment, the price can be directly compared to the total cost of leasing or purchasing a vehicle.
