What is an e-car subscription?

The car subscription for electric cars is a flexible and cost-effective alternative to leasing and car sharing. By paying a monthly rate, you subscribe to a state-of-the-art electric car – a kind of long-term electric car rental. With the all-inclusive tariff from MHC Mobility, you receive an all-round carefree package that not only includes registration and insurance. As an experienced partner, we also take care of maintenance services, repairs and seasonal tire changes. The monthly rate therefore works like a flat rate for e-mobility, but without a long-term commitment or a lot of red tape.

This allows you to cover your Precise mobility requirements without making any long-term commitments. The monthly mileage can be tailored exactly to your needs, whether you use your e-car subscription for 3 months or opt for a different term. You also have a free choice of vehicle.

Maintenance and service included

If you are interested in an e-car subscription with MHC Mobility the service is already included in the fixed monthly price. If an inspection or tire change is due, you will receive a notification. You don’t even have to have any necessary repairs carried out on your e-car. We take care of your concerns personally.

Rent an e-car: Cost control without surprises

The monthly flat rate already covers all ancillary costs. There is no down payment or hidden fees. The subscription includes:

Your only additional costs arise when refueling at the charging station. Unlike with leasing, you don’t have to worry about residual value risk and depreciation. Registration, documents and approval

If you would like to rent an e-car from MHC Mobility, it’s very easy. You can submit a subscription request by phone, e-mail or on our website using the form. However, certain requirements must be met:

• Minimum age 18 years
• Valid driver’s license
• Good credit rating

In addition to your driver’s license, you must submit further documents. These include a valid identity card or passport and a current credit report. We usually approve an e-car subscription after checking your identity and documents. If your application is approved, you will immediately receive a concrete offer for an electric car subscription from us.

Insurance and liability

With e-cars on subscription from MHC Mobility, insurance is also part of the all-round carefree package. The Third-party car insurance is already included in the monthly rate. In addition, the subscription includes a reduction in liability in the form of fully and partially comprehensive insurance with an excess of 950.00 euros per claim. The excess can be reduced on request.

Maintenance and repairs

Once you have received cost approval from us, take your e-car to the nearest MHC Mobility Center or one of our partner workshops. When the main inspection is due, you can either contact one of the nine MHC Mobility Centers nationwide or an officially recognized testing company (DEKRA, GTÜ, KÜS, TÜV).

Minimum terms and termination options

If you are not yet sure whether you want to rent an e-car or equip your company’s entire vehicle fleet with electric cars: With an e-car subscription, thanks to flexible contract terms, you can Test electric mobility without obligation. With us you get your vehicle from 1 month term. Are you interested in a long-term electric car rental? Terms of up to 60 months are also possible. Do you want to continue using your e-car afterwards? That’s no problem either: your contract is automatically extended at the same conditions without notice. After that you can cancel daily and receive a daily final invoice. Early withdrawal from the contract is also possible. In this case, we will charge you a gap sum based on the outstanding installments up to the official end of the contract.

Monthly fees, ancillary costs and inclusive services

An e-car subscription for less than €200 per month sounds attractive, but not realistic. An e-car subscription is more likely to cost €99 per week. Our monthly rate for an electrically powered vehicle currently starts at €386.75 including VAT. In addition to the long-term rental, this includes numerous services and benefits. For a short, unbureaucratic route to your e-car subscription, we recommend the FlexiRent model from MHC Mobility. You choose the right vehicle from our preconfigured range of e-cars. If you are already considering a minimum rental period of 24 months, our SelectRent model is also an option. This allows you to configure your e-car yourself: choose a uniform color, add individual lettering or company logos and even arrange for special installations. We will then order the vehicle of your choice according to your specifications. You are completely carefree with both models without any additional costs.

Insurance options and services

At MHC Mobility, we are not afraid to compare e-car subscriptions with leasing providers. While leasing does not include the ongoing operating and maintenance costs for the e-car in the monthly fee, you can expect no additional costs with our subscription. Instead, you can enjoy numerous services and particularly favorable insurance options.

Funding opportunities and tax benefits

Due to the sudden end of the environmental bonus and innovation premium in 2023, there is currently no state funding for electric cars at federal level. However, there are numerous funding programs and benefits at state and local authority level that support companies in setting up a charging infrastructure. Financial incentives are created in particular for wallboxes, i.e. electric car charging stations. In addition, car manufacturers often offer favorable conditions for the purchase of electrically powered vehicles.

You also benefit from tax advantages. For example, fuel cell vehicles and purely electric cars are exempt from vehicle tax until the end of 2030. The 0.25 percent rule for company cars is also worth noting: employees who are provided with an electric car as a company car and also use it privately only have to pay tax on it at 0.25 percent of the gross list price.
