1. from biochemist to HR pioneer – how did it come about?
My path was anything but straightforward. I started out in the lab with a degree in biochemistry, but my passion for people led me into the world of HR. A willingness to change and courage were crucial – I firmly believe that lifelong learning is the key to success.
2. how would you describe your management style and what is important to you in dealing
Particularly important with employees? For me, authenticity and honesty are paramount. Open feedback is essential, as this is the only way we can grow together. Transparency is another important principle: I share information willingly because I am convinced that this leads to the best results.
3. how do you see the future of HR?
The future will be flexible. We need to find solutions that do justice to the different life phases of our employees – from
training to retirement. The continuous development of our managers will also be crucial, as they play a key role in
employee retention.
4 What role does digitalization play in your day-to-day work?
My motto is: as much digitalization as possible for more personal contact. Digitalization creates freedom and allows us to focus on what is important – the people. One example of this is our digital applicant management system, which makes the process more efficient and transparent.
5. how do you spend a day off?
For me, a day off means adventure and discovery. I love exploring new places – be it on a hike in the countryside or a city trip with culinary highlights. These experiences give me fresh ideas and perspectives that I can incorporate into my everyday working life.
