Registration, documents and approval

Booking a long-term rental car can be done with just a few mouse clicks. However, a contract can only be concluded under the following conditions:

• Minimum age 18 years
• Valid driver’s license
• Good credit rating

A Schufa query is also necessary to check your creditworthiness. We need the following documents for this:

• Corporations (GmbH, AG, KG, OHG): Extract from the commercial register or business registration
• Partnerships (sole proprietor, GbR, UG): Business registration and Schufa form as well as the identity card of the managing director
• Freelancers and self-employed personsIdentity card and Schufa form as well as VAT identification number

Insurance and liability

The monthly rate for our long-term car rental includes motor vehicle liability insurance is already included. You also benefit from a reduction in liability in the form of fully and partially comprehensive insurance with an excess of € 950.00 per claim. Contact us if you would like to reduce the amount of the excess. This is possible against payment of a monthly net additional amount.

Maintenance and repairs

Long-term car rental in Germany: You can reach us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. At a total of nine locations throughout Germany, our
MHC Mobility Center
serve as a point of contact for services and workshop work. Here we offer you the following services:

• Rental and collection of the vehicle

Minimum terms and termination options

With MHC Mobility you get a car for long-term rental
from as little as 1 month
but terms of 3, 6, 12 or even up to 60 months are also possible. Do you want to continue using the vehicle after that? No problem: your contract will be tacitly extended under the same conditions without notice. You can then cancel on a daily basis with daily final billing.

You would like to get out of the contract early? That is also possible. In this case, we will charge you a gap amount based on the outstanding installments up to the official end of the contract.

Transparency in pricing is just as important to us as it is to you. That’s why long-term car rental from MHC Mobility comes with no surprises when it comes to the cost of the vehicle.

Monthly fees, ancillary costs and inclusive services

Is a long-term car rental cheap? Important question. With MHC Mobility, the monthly rate for your vehicle already includes all vehicle and service-related expenses in addition to the rental fee. This applies both to our FlexiRent model with flexible terms and a wide selection of preconfigured cars and to our SelectRent model with the option of customized vehicle adaptations, including lettering, the application of company logos and installations and conversions.

We do not charge a deposit or a basic fee for a long-term car rental. There are also no final payments. Issues such as residual value risk or loss of value also do not play a role.

Insurance options and services

While leasing and purchasing a vehicle incurs additional operating and maintenance costs, these expenses are already covered by MHC Mobility’s long-term car rental. The motor vehicle liability insurance is also included in the monthly fee.

Funding opportunities and tax benefits

If company cars are also used privately by employees, the resulting non-cash benefit must be taxed as part of their income. This flat-rate taxation applies regardless of whether the vehicle is purchased, leased or rented and therefore also applies to cars for long-term rental. For company cars with combustion engines, the so-called 1% rule applies, whereby one percent of the gross list price of the vehicle must be taxed each month. For plug-in hybrids, the rate is 0.5%, while for electric vehicles with a gross list price of up to €70,000, only 0.25% is deducted as a non-cash benefit. In addition, electric cars are exempt from vehicle tax until the end of 2030. Electric vehicles therefore enjoy tax advantages compared to conventional combustion engines. In addition, various federal states and local authorities offer concessions and funding programs to help companies set up a charging infrastructure.
