Location portrait MHC Mobility Dortmund
We are MHC Mobility
A company is more than the sum of its parts. Each of our locations has its own personal history and stories. We present these in our blog section. Told by our colleagues on site. We start with Corinna Kuhn, Head of the MHC Mobility Center Dortmund. A location characterized by team spirit and pioneering spirit.
MMC Dortmund – More than just a workplace
Sometimes big stories start very small – ours in Dortmund started about ten years ago in a Volvo dealership in Hattingen. One desk, 15 vehicles and me, Corinna Kuhn, working as an all-rounder at the time. We soon realized: We needed more space to grow. We found what we were looking for in a former DEKRA station in Dortmund. We moved in with 15 cars and a lot of start-up spirit. Job interviews were held on crates of drinks, but the enthusiasm was still great. Many of these first colleagues are still with us today. As are many of our initial customers.
We then officially opened in 2017 – our “baby”, as our then boss Andreas Maske said at the time. 15 vehicles quickly became over 150, pioneering work turned into pilot projects for the whole of Maske: mobile wheel changes, “care takers” at the customer’s premises – always with the motto “making everything possible”.
The takeover by Hitachi and the merger with Mitsubishi in 2021 marked the start of an exciting new chapter for the team: MHC Mobility! We were able to contribute ideas for the new building in Dortmund, and even my private sketches – drawn together with my father – were incorporated into the design.
Today, we are 30 colleagues working with state-of-the-art equipment and a very special highlight: our customer waiting area with a view of the workshop. Here you can experience service work up close. This also shows how important transparency is to us. After all, we are proud of our “job home” and are happy to show it off.
