PRESS RELEASE:

MHC Mobility is HSV’s new partner

Gyhum/ Bockel, 28.02.2023 – It has been official since the beginning of the year: MHC Mobility is HSV’s new partner and will support the HSV Fahrzeugschule with vans as a mobility partner for the second half of the 2022/23 season in addition to its traditional partner presence on match days. The two northern lights are not new acquaintances, but have been partners for many years.

The connection between MHC Mobility and HSV attracted a great deal of attention around 17 years ago, as the company founder at the time crowned his love for the club with a tribute to HSV legend Uwe Seeler: In collaboration with an artist, MHC Mobility donated the Uwe Seeler bronze foot in 2005. The giant foot, on a scale of 20:1, rises up to 5.3 meters in height and weighs four tons. In the following years, an “HSV Walk of Fame” was created around the sculpture, on which the footprints of particularly deserving HSV players are immortalized. “Today – more than ever – this sculpture is a place of remembrance and a monument for all fans. We are therefore delighted to officially hand over the foot to HSV and at the same time lay the foundation stone for our official partnership,” says Managing Director of MHC Mobility Germany Ryjan Rutgers.

Trusting cooperation at eye level
While preserving the traditional history of the Bundesliga dinosaur, Hamburg’s largest club and the city’s sporting flagship is constantly evolving and keeping up with the times – another reason why MHC Mobility is a perfect fit. After all, the young brand with over 60 years of experience, as the inventor of long-term rental and today’s frequently used car subscription model, is also driven to top performance by dynamic developments around the planet and thus also in the mobility industry. “From a marketing perspective, the partnership with HSV offers a great opportunity to position ourselves in an environment that suits us. This Hanseatic connection offers great potential, so I’m excited to see how things will continue,” says Anastasia Leichsenring, Head of Marketing at MHC Mobility. Johannes Haupt, Senior Director Team HSV at marketer SPORTFIVE, adds: “We are delighted to have entered into this partnership with MHC Mobility. As a mobility service provider, MHC Mobility will closely support HSV in the future and at the same time benefit from the great regional and national appeal of Hamburger SV through targeted advertising measures – a profitable connection for both sides.” Johann Goldenstein, Commercial Director MHC Mobility, adds: “The fact that MHC Mobility is not only starting the partnership with traditional advertising placements, but is also supporting the club in terms of mobility, makes the connection complete.”
