MHC Mobility expands product portfolio
With Toyota and MG, two new brands in the long-term car rental portfolio
Gyhum/ Bockel, 11.01.2023 – MHC Mobility has expanded its product portfolio as of the first quarter of 2023 and is now even more broadly positioned with the Toyota and MG brands in order to better meet the mobility needs of new and existing customers in the long term. In addition to the already extensive range of combustion engines and electric motors, customers can now also choose from the Toyota Aygo X, MG4 and MG5 models.
Demand for certain vehicle classes is increasing
“In addition to light commercial vehicles, the demand for small passenger cars and electric motors in particular has increased in our customer structure,” says Commercial Director Johann Goldenstein. As the needs of our customers and ensuring maximum freedom through flexible mobility solutions are our top priority, MHC Mobility initially focused on these vehicle classes and found two suitable partners in Toyota and MG.
Securing strategic goals by expanding the e-mobility offering
With the MG5, the world’s first fully electric estate car will soon be available for long-term rental from MHC Mobility. The MG brand belonged to the Rover Group until 2005 and is often associated in this country with small sports cars from the UK. MG is now part of the Chinese SAIC Group and has also been selling vehicles in Germany under its own name since the beginning of 2021. A particular focus here is on electromobility. “Due to our strategic focus on further expanding the all-electric share of our own fleet, we are particularly pleased about this expansion of our fleet,” adds MHC Mobility Germany CEO Ryjan Rutgers. With ranges from 400 km (WLT), enough space for everything business customers need on the road and state-of-the-art equipment, the two models from MG are an ideal addition to the MHC Mobility rental pool. The first 12 vehicles have been ordered and the “smaller brother” of the MG5 has been tested by MHC Mobility employees during a two-week rental period with positive feedback.
As a modern city runabout, the Toyota Aygo X is the ideal addition to the small car category. It offers an elevated seating position, while the enlarged windshield provides excellent visibility. The Aygo X makes city driving responsive and smooth, while its compact design, cameras and sensors make it easy to park in even the smallest spaces.
The extended mobility range is aimed in particular at the service and care sector, but is of course also available to any other sector as required.
