If you return the vehicle before the agreed 6 months have elapsed, you will have to pay 100% of the outstanding installments.
6-month car subscription for the trial period: company car without long-term commitment
Six months is the usual probationary period in many employment contracts. If you want to provide a new employee with a company car during this period without committing to a multi-year lease, the 6-month car subscription is the perfect solution. The contract is in the name of the company, the vehicle is immediately ready for use, and at the end of the trial period the contract can either be terminated daily or transferred to a longer term. In this way, there is no residual value risk if the trial period does not result in a permanent employment relationship.
The usual company car rules apply to private shared use. The 0.25 percent rule applies to purely electric vehicles, provided the gross list price does not exceed EUR 100,000 (as of July 1, 2025, Section 6 (1) no. 4 EStG). Frequently asked questions about the 6-month car subscription
First select your desired vehicle in the vehicle search. MHC Mobility then requires a credit check with an extract from the commercial register or business registration, a valid identity card and the Schufa form provided by us in order to conclude the contract. After approval, you will typically receive the vehicle from stock within a few working days.
Yes. The monthly mileage is part of the individual offer and is tailored to your needs. Standard packages range from a few hundred to several thousand kilometers per month. Specific agreements such as 1,000 or 1,500 inclusive kilometers per month are set out in the contract and taken into account in the final invoice.
Yes. Electric vehicles are available in the car subscription in the same way as combustion engines and can be rented for six months. Pure electric vehicles benefit from the vehicle tax exemption and the 0.25 percent rule for company car use. Further information on the E-car subscription.
Yes. With MHC Mobility, there is generally no down payment. The monthly installment is the only ongoing obligation apart from fuel or electricity. This makes the car subscription very different from traditional leasing, which often involves a special payment at the start of the contract.
Both terms describe the six-month rental of a vehicle for commercial use. The main difference lies in the scope of services and the terms of the contract: The car subscription with MHC Mobility includes maintenance, insurance, vehicle tax and tire service in the monthly rate. With traditional car rental, these items are often charged separately or handled as surcharges.
If the contract is not terminated, it is automatically extended by one month at the same conditions and can then be terminated at any time. Yes. Six months covers the usual trial period and the car subscription can be terminated at any time after expiry. This means there is no risk of having to keep a leased vehicle for several years if the probationary period does not result in a permanent employment relationship. The contract is in the name of the company and the vehicle is made available to the employee.
There is no provision for changing vehicles during the agreed minimum term. At the end of the six months, you can change the model or choose a different term by concluding a follow-up contract.
